What does SIDA stand for ?
Well, it stand for Singapore Inventors’ Development Association.
It was formed in 1981 as a non-profit making society registered in Singapore. It is managed by an elected committee, headed by the President.
As the name implies, it is an association meant for inventors, especially for those in Singapore.

What’s SIDA objective ?

• Kindle and preserve the spirits of fellowship in creation and invention relating to the improving of living.
• Assist members on the promotion and improvement of their creative and imaginative ideas to becoming reality.
• Advise and assist members in the methods of seeking protection of their invention.
• Embark on projects relating to the welfare and interest of members

How can SIDA help me as an inventor ?
We recognised the need for members, especially in developing their idea into a workable prototype.
While our resource may be limited, we have the generous consent and support of some member offering his workshop facilities to members who have such need.

We do not provide capital investment on any inventive idea by member.
We will offer advise and contact if necessary.

Membership

• Any internet user can register with our website. To do this, please goto “Contact-Us”, fill in your information (Subject: Website account) and state whether you are a registered member of SIDA.

  If you are a member of SIDA, you can become a contributor (Just go to “Contact Us” and submit a request).
  If not, you can only attain a subscriber status.
  .
  As a contributor, you can submit posting to the website which you think might benefit other inventors. These posting will be moderated by administrator before publishing.
• A registered members of our web site may request to view or modify his or her profile.
• For Ordinary Membership, the Entrance Fee of S$50 and Annual Subscription of S$36 apply.
• If a membership become inactive for some reason, please contact our webmaster using the “Contact Us” at the Top panel of this website.

What type of information is collected ?

• We collect personal data through a registration process. Members must register with us before they are allow to make use of the resources in our website. Basic information like name and email should be submitted so that we can contact users for clarification, confirmation and authentication purpose.
• We may use IP addresses to analyze trend and track broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personal identifiable information.

How about selling of information ?

• We will not sell, transfer, assign or rent users information to any third party without your permission, unless required by law
