Trading Ideas 2009 aims to continue the tradition of the original Symposium, by facilitating the interaction of influential IP thought leaders from both the private and public sectors.

The Trading Ideas Symposium, which was held in Sydney in January 2007, was a landmark intellectual property (IP) meeting of leading IP professionals, government policy makers and industry leaders. A major event on the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Australia 2007 calendar, it discussed the future of IP in the Asia-Pacific region.

The event this year will focus on IP commercialization for businesses in the APEC region.

  • Trading Ideas 2009 will provide an interactive and engaging platform for the exchange of ideas through:
  • Plenary Sessions discussing key topics such as the impact of the financial crisis on the IP landscape and IP services for the future;
