Hi Ariane,

Different implementations of the concept, based on using a regular smartphone or a netbook PC and other mass market hardware, are available globally, see

George Loo did a great job in trying to make a more dedicated device with the e-Eye, but the market may not be ready yet to make this sustainably.

Best regards,

Peter Meijer

Hello, the other day as I was jogging, I saw a blind man walking in a busy street using just a stick, and I thought that there could be a device, like a micro camera attached to some earplugs that translated to the blind what is going on around them, telling when they may safely cross the street, for example. I thought that if I were an inventor and developed such a device, I would call it "e-eye!". Just for curiosity I looked it up on google and found this website!! This device (or similar) already exists and so my question is: WHY ISN'T IT AVAILABLE YET ON THE MARKET FOR EVERY VISUALLY IMPAIRED PERSON AROUND THE GLOBE? Its a marvellous invention!

THank you for your answer and congratulations.

This product is of poor quality. I have used it for 2 months and it is starting to malfunction already. Video quality is degrading and power is auto-shutdown by itself.

I did a search in Google on "magnetic field to soften water" and found a website on this issue.

Plastic container with magnetic device to soften water, in particular for use in steam irons and for similar purposes

Hey Guys,

I dont know about this, but as someone who got a A in GCE O level physics/chemistry, I taught this is not too scientific right?

So what causes water to be hard? It is the calcium carbonate and this reacts with the detergent.

And calcium carbonate is not magnetic as far as I know, unless the physics I learn is out of date. So how does a magnet soften water?

Neat solution.

Can the carbon dioxide be taken from the plants themselves? Plants emit carbon dioxide at night.

A "green way" to creat the carbon dioxide would be good, like from naturally decaying wood or some organic substance.

BTW: I am working on a green cockroach catcher that dont need Baygon or something like that. It is a cockroach catcher that is you see a cockroach than you use it to catch the cockroach. Insecticides is bad for everybody especially young children and pets in the house.
