Inventors Initiative: Plenary Sessions

Singapore Inventors� Development Association (SIDA) organized the �Inventors Initiative� Plenary Sessions at the National Library @ 100 Victoria Street, Level 5, Imagination Room on 5 August 2006. Five members of the association and a guest shared their experiences and views with participants from various walks of life. The event was well attended with the Imagination Room filled with responsive participants.

The association is thankful to the following people for their interesting contributions:

* Mr. George Loo from SIDA who led the session with �INVENTING IN SINGAPORE�,
* Mr. Tan Yin Leong from SIDA who spoke on �IDEATION AND EVALUATION�,
* Mr. Ng Kim Tean from SIDA who spoke on �INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ISSUES�,
* Mr. John Venning from SIDA who spoke on �PRACTICAL INVENTING�
* Mr. Jim Gan C.L. from SIDA who spoke on �MARKETING YOUR INVENTIONS� and
* Mr. John Leong, a guest who spoke on �FROM CAREER TO HOBBY TO CAREER�.

The association had also organized the �We Can Invent! Innovation� Exhibition at the National Library @ 100 Victoria Street, Level 1 Plaza from 5 till 13 August 2006. Two members of the association and eight companies exhibited their inventions/products.

The two members who participated at the exhibition were Ms Michelle Chan and Mr. Cheng Ngak Suah. The companies that participated at the exhibitions were:

The association is thankful to all eight companies for their support and sponsorship at the exhibition. The association is also thankful to all other members for their participation and support during the two events at National Library @ 100 Victoria Street.
